VeinScanner is an application designed for locating veins, featuring zoom functionality and simulated infra-red effects to closely resemble the performance of a dedicated vein scanning device.

Utilizing multispectral imaging principles and the inherent optical characteristics of the skin, VeinScanner generates optimized images of veins by enhancing the contrast between oxyhemoglobin and deoxyhemoglobin absorption while minimizing the impact of superficially-scattered and specularly-reflected light on the final image.
